I recently upgraded my CPU to Ryzen 5 5600X and installed an Asus TUF GAMING B550-PLUS motherboard with Wi-Fi. Since then, I've faced some issues when powering up the PC. After pressing the power button, it takes about six seconds for everything to turn on—previously it was instant. Once it starts fully, all fans run at maximum speed for a short time. Additionally, I'm puzzled why the RGB lighting on the motherboard activates even when the computer is off. What could be causing these problems and how can I resolve them? Thanks for your help. P.S. I had to turn on CSM in BIOS because the system reported 'No bootable devices found'.
It’s wise to share complete specifications, not just the motherboard and processor. Turning on CSM usually slows down startup. Since you’ve enabled it, this could be why your system isn’t booting quickly. Think about reinstalling Windows using the GPT file instead of the MBR. For the RGB, there should be a BIOS option to disable it when the computer is off—something tied to Aura. You might also try installing the Asus Aura software for Windows, which lets you turn off the LEDs even when the device is powered down.
