PC smells really good with a strong plastic taste for a long time.
I built my new PC about two months ago and since then, I've noticed a pretty strong plastic smell coming from it. The weirdest thing is that the smell gets worse when the fans spin down (even though I think it's just because they run cooler for longer, making it harder to pick up). To fix some stuff: Yes, the power supply also smells, but it's not like the same kind and seems to have gotten better over time. And neither of them smells like burning. It smells more like new plastic or rubber than hot oil. I've found it around the area where the rear fan and IO plate are, but I still can't pinpoint exactly where it is coming from. There is a small piece of plastic stuck on the second M.2 slot, but it's not being used so it shouldn't be the problem. The GPU doesn't have any removable pieces either, and I know for sure that the CPU isn't the source because I bought a used cooler and checked to make sure there was no sticky film on it before installing. I know computers usually give off scents in their first few weeks of use, but is it normal that this lasts so long? Should I be worried?
