PC shutting down unexpectedly after modifying the case
Hey, I recently upgraded my NZXT H7 Flow case and switched from a CHIEFTEC MidT Stallion II GP-02B-OP to this new model. After the change, I encountered random restarts. I swapped out the original fans for ARCTIC P14 PWM PST units, connecting two to fan 2 and three to fan 1 via PST. The USB port and motherboard connection remain unchanged. Initially, I assumed the issue was due to CPU temps, but after running benchmarks and stress tests, temperatures stayed stable up to 80°C for ten minutes. I then considered whether the fans might be faulty, causing power spikes or a shortage. I checked my motherboard, re-settled the CPU, adjusted thermal paste, and tested temperatures and RAM. My specs include Windows 10 Pro, an Intel i5, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a high-end GPU, a large SSD, and several cooling components. I’m wondering if the fans could be problematic—maybe they’re not working properly, or if my system can’t handle the power draw from PST fans. Also, did I need to tweak BIOS settings for PST operation? Let me know if you have any ideas!
I'm sorry, but the reset button you're referring to is connected to the front I/O of the case. There isn't a separate reset button, and the connector is integrated. Could you clarify if you meant something different?
