PC shuts down unexpectedly, then keyboard activates without warning.
When I first assembled my PC a few years back, the power management would remain active even after shutdown. I discovered that simply switching off the USB ports in BIOS didn’t fully disable them. Now, when I power down at night, my keyboard and mouse shut down too, but after about 30 seconds the keyboard comes back on while the mouse and headset stay off. This is frustrating and could affect the USB ports. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks ahead!
In Safe Mode start Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button, select Mouse and Keyboard devices, then from the Driver tab click Update Driver > Automatically. If that doesn’t work, go to Update Driver > Browse > Allow me to pick to choose all previously installed drivers. If still issues persist, uninstall the driver and restart your PC to check if the device functions now.
