Hi! I’m using an AMD Ryzen 5900X with an EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra motherboard, MSI MAG B550, and 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM from G.Skill. The CPU cooler is a quiet model, and I have the DARK ROCK PRO 4 PSU from Corsair. My RAM is a G.Skill Ripjaw V CL16 (2x16GB). I’m running Windows 10 Pro N 10.0.19044.
Yesterday, when I powered on my PC after opening Lightroom, it shut down completely. I tried restarting it, but the CPU stayed red and the display remained black. I couldn’t turn it off by pressing the power button, so I turned off the PSU and then the power strip. After that, I restarted everything, and the PC booted up again.
I ran a CPU stress test while also using Furmark, and everything ran at 100% for several minutes. The CPU reached around 75°C max, and the GPU about 72°C max. Later, I streamed for three hours without any issues.
Today, after turning on my PC, I started OBS and began streaming The Witcher 3. After two minutes, it shut down. When I tried to power it back on immediately, only the CPU EZ Debug red light came on briefly, and the GPU RGB light flashed for a short time, but nothing else happened. After that, the PC turned back on, but streaming stopped again.
I checked what the red EZ Debug lights did during a successful boot: after pressing power, the CPU red light stayed on for a few seconds before turning off. The DRAM light blinked briefly, then the VGA light lit up for a second, and the BOOT light appeared for about a second before all LEDs turned off.
I built this system in December 2021. I don’t recall any changes or updates since then. My BIOS is either 7C91vA8 or 7C91vA7, not the newer 7C91vA94 (beta version from March 15, 2022). I haven’t moved or opened the PC, and the last firmware update was a GPU driver update about a week ago.
