PC shuts down multiple times prior to starting up.
I assembled my initial PC yesterday following the tutorials I found online and in forums. When I turned it on, the fans would spin up, pause, then restart a couple of times before the system finally loaded. After that, the computer still functions, though I’m trying to diagnose the problem. I attempted an update for the BIOS but it didn’t resolve the issue. Some users suggested checking the RAM stick or memory timings, but I’m unsure about the exact steps. My build details are: CPU Ryzen 5 5600G, SSD 970 Evo plus 500GB RAM, G.Skill 2x8GB at 4400MHz, B550 M. DS3H AC motherboard, RPM 550.
Based on what you mentioned, a possible solution could be reinstalling Windows, which might be needed because of a corrupted version. Even if everything is brand new, issues with RAM or the PSU aren't likely, though the 5600G is quite recent and may still lack optimization or stability—possibly due to the chip. If the problem lies with RAM, consider using the base XMP settings or adjusting it to 4400 MHz, which might help. Hope this assists you.
