PC shuts down instantly upon powering up
Hey everyone, I’m not sure if I’m in the correct section. Apologies if it’s not the right place. I’ve been experiencing issues where my PC powers off right after turning it off the night before. When I try to restart it in the morning, it shuts down immediately again. Last time it lasted for weeks until I unplugged and reconnected cables, which fixed it. I attempted this again but it didn’t work. The motherboard shows numbers 15 and 51—do they matter? I checked for blown capacitors but couldn’t find any. My CPU fan won’t spin up, though I’m not certain if it ever did. I was thinking about replacing parts anyway. Also, pressing a key on my keyboard causes it to flash and then turn off instantly, and the monitor doesn’t show the BIOS menu. Sorry, I don’t know much about PCs—I just have this old dad’s machine. It seems the problem might relate to the Windows setup, the motherboard, or the CPU. Make sure your files are backed up and try a fresh installation of Windows. Update all drivers and check if the issue persists. If it continues, the motherboard could be the cause.
