PC shuts down during gameplay yet remains stable under stress tests.
Hi there. My PC was assembled about eight months ago and has been having this issue consistently. In games, a sudden black screen appears, followed by a reboot into Windows. The main hints I’ve noticed are a critical error code 41 in the Event Viewer and a serious hardware warning 193 in the Reliability History. Here are my details:
- RAM: MSI PRO B650-s
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
- Memory: Corsair 32GB DDR5 5600MT/s CL40 Vengeance RGB Grey EXPO Cooler
- Power Supply: GIGABYTE P750GM
- Storage: Apacer AS2280Q4X 2TB
- PSU: GIGABYTE P750GM
Additional info: I’ve taken my PC to two repair shops, both times it came back without any reboots. I’ve already swapped out the PSU. Before the last reboot, temperatures were usually around 85°C, peaking at 96°C during a recent test. It doesn’t look like overheating is the main problem.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you refreshed your bios information? Have you also experimented with the standard bios options and disabled Expo? Are there any logs available, or crashdump files found in the C:\Windows\Minidump directory? If yes, please upload them here. Have you verified the drivers? Which version of Nvidia drivers are you currently using? Some gamers encounter issues with the latest drivers and have reverted to version 566.36 for stability, if that was the problem.
I've already attempted all your suggestions. You don't have any minidump files.
