PC shows poorer performance after being overclocked using MSI Gaming APP.
When I turn on gaming mode in the MSI Gaming app, my CPU (6600K) and GPU (GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G) work less efficiently (checked with cinebench). The CPU score falls by 30%, and the GPU FPS drops from +/- 130 to +/- 90 frames. Are there any fixes for this issue?
We have any ideas to help? Consider removing the app. Always increase performance through the BIOS settings. What hardware are you using? MSI Z170 Gaming Pro, Be Quiet Pure Rock (CPU temps stay under 60°C without the cooler spinning at full speed) and an EVGA SuperNova 750 GQ.
Wow, that board really packed too many VRMs. No problems expected with steady power delivery. The CPU cooler seems sufficient for your current CPU. Your PSU isn't on my suggestions list, but it's still a solid build and probably not the issue. Try uninstalling the gaming app and testing overclock in BIOS.

That's a lot of VRMs on that board—shouldn't there be no problems with stable power delivery? The CPU cooler seems sufficient for your current processor. Your power supply isn't on my top suggestions, but it appears to be solid quality and likely not the issue. Try uninstalling the gaming app and retrying the overclock in BIOS.
