When I power on my PC, it shows the motherboard logo and then only a narrow line at the top with white lines running down. I’m sure this isn’t the monitor because it works fine on my laptop. The screen shows a part of the cursor at the top, but the small top section is the only image visible. Any ideas?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
