Hello everyone, following the removal and reinstallation of USB controller drivers, my computer is acting strangely: - The orange Q-LED on the motherboard stays illuminated. - In Advanced BIOS mode, it freezes for about a second every five seconds, making it nearly unusable in EZ mode. - When power is switched on, codes 19 and 20 along with the red Q-LED (CPU) freeze for roughly fifteen seconds twice. - As soon as the ROG logo appears (granting BIOS access), the green Q-LED (beside the orange one) stays lit for about fifteen seconds (likely signaling a boot issue). - After launching Windows, code 33 remains continuously displayed. I've attempted to reset the BIOS manually and with the CMOS button, used just one of the RAM slots, or ran Windows memory diagnostics, but none resolved these issues. Could anyone suggest a solution to get my system back to its previous state from 2019? Please share your thoughts. Thank you in advance for your help.

Specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Gold Edition
- Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (latest BIOS & chipset)
- G.Skill Trident Z RGB (2*8 Go; 3200 MHz; 16GTZRX)
- Asus ROG Strix GTX 1070 OC (latest driver)
- Corsair MP510 480 GB Windows 10 64-bit (latest updates)

Consider the operating system and attempt to revert the problematic driver. If unsuccessful, launch Command Prompt with administrator privileges and execute the command sfc /SCANNOW.

None of the drivers are undoable, and they all function properly now. I understand the command and have tried it several times just to verify everything was okay. Here’s today’s outcome: it detected corrupted files and fixed them. Logs show issues like duplicate directories with identical owners/securities and a single file repaired. OneOneDrive link from the Start Menu program list caused confusion. I’ll restart my PC and update the message if anything changes. EDIT: I saw an F1 screen saying “[My] system may not be fully stable.” Other than that, your suggested solutions didn’t help. Updated August 10, 2023 by TheFighter137

This scenario likely points to a RAM problem. You can test each stick individually to identify the faulty one. If no issues arise, the fault might lie with the motherboard or CPU. Also, ensure your BIOS is up to date and consider using Metastress to verify RAM functionality.

I previously tested my PC with a single RAM stick (memory order uncertain) and nothing changed; I plan to try again for each stick later. My BIOS is up to date for roughly a month, and there have been no issues related to that. I ran Memtest86 (free version) on the default 2133 MHz configuration and after about 2 hours and 30 minutes of testing, no errors were found. Now I’m using the DOCP 3200 MHz setup—let’s see what happens.

Checked the RAM modules and slots, everything looks fine. No issues found on the formers. Apart from a bit of dust, the same applies to the other sticks—I tested each one individually. The PC behavior stayed consistent, though one stick made a noticeably louder buzzing sound. I also swapped out both the ATX 24-pin and CPU 8-pin connectors without any visible problems, and still no changes in performance. I’ll examine the CPU later tonight.

Check for problems in the BIOS by removing as much as possible and testing again. The CPU, GPU, one stick of RAM, and cooling components should remain connected internally. Unplug all USB devices except the keyboard. If the issue persists, reset the CMOS. Even with a reset button, I find it more effective to use the battery. Many users have tried the button without results, then removed the battery for success.

Wow, that was a great turnaround! Thanks a lot. Also grateful to @goatedpenguin for their effort, even if it didn’t fully solve the issue.
