Hello everyone, I completed the build and when I power on the PC it doesn't function properly. The video from booting shows the changes I made—switched RAM to a kit from MSI. Before starting, I pressed the CMOS reset button for about ten seconds on the back. Details: motherboard model MSIM MEG X870E, CPU AMD Ryzen 9 9940X3D, RAM F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX5, power supply Corsair HX1500i 2025, case Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO. The issue is I don't have a spare CPU to rule it out. What could be causing the problem based on the codes?
@Emperor Storky Which BIOS version are you running? You must use at least version 7E48v1A27 (released 25 March 2025) to support the 9950X3D CPU. This can be achieved by pressing the "BIOS flashback" button on the rear I/O panel while the system is connected via USB. Refer to page 89 of your manual for detailed steps.
I possess the newest release from April; I can re-download it and attempt another update. Since I didn’t have a USB stick, I used a microSD card in a reader for the update—could that lead to complications? I noticed the process completed and restarted after the update. Prior to any changes, I observed the warning about CPU/RAM to ensure the correct BIOS was already installed.
It seems to function now. I need to insert my 2080 Ti to check if it transmits video, and I think the visuals are looking good.
This weekend I plan to swap out the GPU from my old PC for a new one, hoping it resolves any problems.
