I received a Trojan infection, but I’m not sure how or why it occurred. After cleaning the virus, I reset everything to factory settings, but since then my internet has slowed down and things like Spotify start playing randomly. Also, when I switched games by pressing alt+tab, it opened in a magnified mode. Am I overreacting, or could the Trojan still be present? I don’t have any clear answers.

get a downloadable antivirus from kaspersky or comparable sources and perform a scan on your computer that way, though i think you're just being overly cautious

Sure, I managed it by chance. Maybe I pressed FN+F7 to play music and didn’t realize it. Regarding viruses, they can survive after a full reset in some cases.

Ensure the virus isn't present by clearing and restarting your system, or completely erasing and rebuilding it.

I restored my hard drive using the command prompt and did the same in the Windows disk. I performed the reset procedure on the Windows disk, then clicked custom afterward.

I also don’t have time to shut down and restart Windows, I’d rather just purchase another SSD.

You confirmed clearing every single HDD, even the one running the operating system.

i use just one hdd. i deleted both partitions and then clicked new, repeating this about five times. from what i know, this would erase the hard drive and reduce the partitions you need (like the system) to around 500mb, while my 900gb drive would be affected. i’m open to resetting the pc again if it helps, but i’ve always suspected this would wipe everything.

You're welcome, and your feedback is appreciated. I agree DBAN works well for future needs.
