PC runs very slowly during games.
Suddenly my PC becomes extremely slow after gaming sessions. It starts fine at startup and handles high frame rates games like Cyberpunk2077 and Space Marines 2 smoothly, but becomes almost unresponsive when closing the games. Discord works well, though using Google Chrome takes about 15-20 seconds after stopping games, with normal cursor responsiveness. The issue might be related to high CPU and GPU usage during games, even though RAM stays low (48-52% in games, 25% when idle).
System specifications should be provided alongside troubleshooting posts. Include details such as CPU, cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, power supply, chassis, operating system, monitor. Also mention the age of the power supply and current BIOS version for the motherboard.
What is the CPU usage once you close the game and it's slow? Also, your drive is almost full—this isn't helping. Try removing unused games to free up space. Also, right-click the start menu icon, select "run," type "%temp%", press enter, and delete everything in that folder.
Sorry, here is your spec rewritten:

The PC is running smoothly since the new GPU was installed in March. Recently, it has started to slow down. After closing a game, the GPU performance dropped to 0-1%, and RAM usage fell to 24%. The only recent change from yesterday is the latest Adrenaline driver update, but the system functioned normally for the first two days after installation. I don’t believe this is the main issue.
The PC is operating smoothly after the new GPU arrived in March, but recently it has started to become sluggish. You mentioned a new GPU, and before that, you were using something else.
I removed several games that my son used frequently until he got his own PC, along with all the files in the Temp folder. So far, this seems to have helped, but I haven’t had time to play more than 1-2 hours. I’m not sure if playing longer than 2 hours will cause the issue again. However, up to 2 hours of gaming sessions at a time is still okay.
Have you attempted System Restore to a stable state? This might resolve the problem. Alternatively, it might indicate a memory leak that needs restarting regularly or another fix.
