I possess solid understanding of tech so don’t overcomplicate. My dad gave me a ready-made PC around Christmas 2023 with an RTX 4060 because it was lagging compared to my old setup. It performed well before mid-2024 but began blue-screening and crashing programs around that time. Some games like Binding of Isaac and Sekiro stop working after just a few minutes, yet other high-end titles run smoothly. I reset the system once and it didn’t improve much—just more frequent crashes. It seems hardware issues or compatibility problems might be the cause, and I’m hoping it’s fixable so I can get it working properly. I’m running an Intel Core i9-13900KF with a 32GB RTX 4060, 750MB RAM, Power Supply Prime B760+, and Windows 11 64-bit.

Which BIOS version are you using? The 13th generation often experiences software crashes and CPU wear, but these problems are addressed in the latest BIOS updates.

According to the motherboard manual, insert the RAM in slot A2. Your board shows it should go into slot B1. Refer to pages 1 through 11 for details. After adjustments (ensure PSU is off and the PC is stable), proceed with downloading and installing the ME firmware update from the provided link.

Possible CPU wear might have happened on the 13th and 14th generation i7 and i9 (mainly i9). Consider filing a return or warranty claim—Intel had many units available.

Contact the seller or Intel for a new unit, as the significant performance drop led Intel to offer replacements on every chip, no matter how long the original warranty lasted

It’s free to start with a BIOS update so your chip won’t keep breaking down, but at this stage it’s likely already been handled.
