PC restarts randomly, kernel version 41, attempting to resolve the issue.
Hello, my PC has been running for about ten months. All components except the GPU are brand new. The specifications include an i5-12400 ASUS Prime B660M-A D4 WIFI Team Delta TUF with 2x8GB RAM, a 3200 CL16 Team MP33 1TB SSD, and an ASUS TUF RX 6800 XT motherboard with MSI MPG A850GF. The issue is that the system restarts randomly, sometimes even when idle, and the problem has increased over time. The event viewer shows Kernel 41 after each crash, suggesting a hardware fault. I've taken several steps: updated drivers and Windows, ran it on iGPU only, disabled USB devices except basic peripherals, rechecked PSU connections and even swapped cables, bought a PSU tester and verified readings were normal. I disassembled the case and tried running it as a test bench without a case. I also disabled XMP, changed RAM to single module, and tested with only one RAM stick. Recently, I used the PC with just the iGPU for idle testing and it worked fine for about two hours. Then I tried stress tests with Cinebench and Diablo 4, which crashed after short periods. My concern is whether the power supply unit or the motherboard is the problem. I noticed that the case and some USB devices have metallic parts that could cause issues, especially since my country uses 2-prong (Type C) power connectors. The socket appears to be Type C but I’m not sure if it’s properly grounded. What advice would experienced builders or troubleshooters give?
