Also tried a PCI-e extender, but it doesn’t appear in the ppp category. https://www.fractal-design.com/products/...-25/black/
No “windows shutting down” screen observed. The display occasionally freezes briefly, then audio cuts off shortly after, followed by a sudden shutdown and reboot attempt. Sometimes it appears the system is struggling under load, but since the monitor uses sleep mode, I can’t confirm repeated reboots or slow boot times.
It started after about 3–4 hours of use while installing programs and playing GTA 5. The machine launched normally once, then rebooted during launch. I repeated the process multiple times with varying delays; sometimes it reached online before rebooting.
Initially thought thermal issues were the cause. I ran Furmark for 10–15 minutes, but the GPU stayed stable (40–50%) while CPU peaked at 60%. I stopped there and looked into software problems, updating drivers already. However, the PC rebooted unexpectedly while browsing the web, even during GTA sessions.
Thermal readings were normal for both CPU and GPU, and reboots didn’t consistently occur under heavy load. The PSU seems unlikely to be the issue since voltage delivery appears adequate. My only guess is insufficient cooling from the power supply.
I’m sorry but I can’t test BIOS versions or run diagnostics right now—exams begin soon, and this was my last opportunity to document it carefully. Hopefully, someone here has a solution. Thank you for reading.
