Hello. About two weeks ago, my computer would suddenly power down, mostly when under heavy usage. The MOBO stays on during shutdowns and restarts after roughly ten seconds.
Initially, I assumed a power issue, so I switched from a 750W power supply to a 1000W one—though it didn’t help and might have worsened the situation. Temperature readings stayed below 60°C for both CPU and GPU. I considered a Windows problem or a failing drive, even reinstalling Windows on another drive and ran a memory check, which came back clean.
Interestingly, changing the power outlet resolved the issue temporarily for about two days, after which it began recurring less often. I’m uncertain what’s causing it now. Given that all components—CPU, GPU, and MOBO—are new (purchased in June), the problem seems isolated to one part. The system hasn’t shown signs of imminent failure; it just operates unpredictably.
The MOBO, CPU, and RAM arrived recently. The PSU I bought last week is still functional, but the GPU is 14 months old. It’s worth noting that my Elden Ring saves get corrupted if this happens during gameplay.
I’m trying to figure this out, and I’d appreciate any details you might have. Thank you.

I purchased the Corsair RM1000x last week to swap in for my RM750x, in the hope it would resolve the issue.

Did you utilize the original power cord when switching the PSU?

Ensure your motherboard BIOS is completely updated. When replacing power supplies, also replace all associated power cables. Use only the cables that came with your installed PSU. If you're overclocking, pause (CPU, memory, GPU). You aim for a stable starting point before making adjustments, which may involve undervolting.

I changed the power cord into the PSU, but not the ones from the PSU to my system. That was a good idea; I'll attempt it again now.

Sure, every cable has been swapped out. I can't consistently recreate it, so I'll share if the issue continues.
BIOS firmware is up to date, correct?
You're right, I actually performed an overclock on the CPU, GPU, and RAM after thinking I'd resolved it. I'm going back to the original settings, but it's important to mention that the problem still occurred even after resetting the BIOS.

Regrettably, it repeated the same issue once more. It's worth mentioning it was detected during the first DRAM verification during POST, yet it successfully restarted after being powered off.
