I built a PC recently and I’m still figuring things out. I’ve assembled a few before, but this one was my first. After finishing the build, I connected it to a monitor and turned on the power supply. The motherboard lights came on, then the fans started spinning. Next, the manufacturer’s logo appeared, followed by an update showing the M.2 card being read. A message popped up saying “New CPU detected!” before the screen went black and the fans stopped.

I reset it multiple times, checking connections for PSU, outlet, fans, and headers. Each time I tried to boot, I heard a click from the power supply but nothing else happened on the display. I even tried shorting pins and got the same result. The motherboard claims it’s ready for Ryzen 5000 series chips, which matches what we have, so I’m not sure if the BIOS is the issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No, you cannot access the BIOS by simply seeing the motherboard logo. You need to enter a specific setup menu or follow a power-on procedure.

It occurred just once when we powered on, and we definitely didn’t get to the boot menu.
