Hello, you recently increased the clock speed of your AMD FX6300 from 3.5 to 4.3GHz. After running Prime 95 for six hours without any problems—mainly a temperature around 50°C—you turned it on this morning and experienced some issues. The system restarted several times before finally booting up, which took about five minutes. You used Windows 10 and encountered BIOS prompts suggesting settings were incorrect, offering options to load optimized settings or reboot. You chose the reboot option, which resolved the issue. One additional restart later, everything worked fine. Your concern is valid—this behavior is unusual and could indicate instability. It’s possible your overclocking was still active, or there might be other factors at play. I recommend checking your BIOS settings and ensuring the system is properly cooled. If problems persist, consider consulting a professional. Thank you for reaching out for advice.

I should slow down the overclock now... it seems the BIOS doesn't accept the CPU at 4.3GHz. The settings might have been cleared, which is why you're seeing the 'settings not right' message. Your CPU could also be getting too much input voltage, draining power from other components, particularly the 12V rail. I recommend clearing the overclock and bringing the CPU back to its original voltage.

Your CPU's input voltage could also be too high, draining power from other components, particularly the 12V rail. I recommend clearing the overclock and bringing the CPU back to its original voltage.

I restarted the computer this morning and everything worked properly, but if it happens again I’ll definitely do it.

Make sure to verify your BIOS configuration... the motherboard might have identified an unsuccessful overclocking effort and reverted to the default settings.
