I recently replaced my old Gigabyte B450 motherboard with a new Ryzen 5 3500x setup. It features an Asrock B450 Steel Legend with 16 GB RAM, an FSP HV Pro 500W power supply, and the RX 5700 XT graphics card. The background story is that my previous board was bricked, so I figured a new one would work better.

I noticed the motherboard LEDs would light up and the monitor would detect the connection, but when I pressed the power button nothing came on. After trying to jump the power switch, no change occurred. I’m worried about a few things: I might have forgotten to secure the standoffs properly at first, the top corner didn’t click due to a case defect, the CPU could be installed incorrectly, the PSU jump worked, and I left the RAM dusted for a while before installing the new motherboard.

If anyone has any tips or warnings about potential issues, I’d really appreciate it.
