I recently assembled this machine and my performance improvement was quite a leap compared to the previous A6. Now I'm eager to explore overclocking to discover the limits of my new CPU. The issue is:
My PC won't start with any OC configurations (except for OC Genie)
Even when trying 3200 from 3100, it still defaults to normal settings and doesn't work. Is there something I'm overlooking? When using OC Genie, it should run at 3.5MHz, but in AIDA64 it only shows up to 3.3MHz. I'm quite puzzled about this behavior, especially regarding changes to my OC settings affecting the boot process. BIOS has been updated.

Sounds like it's choking with that RAM if I were to take a guess. A stable Ryzen system has RAM that comes from the motherboard QVL or is other wise certified by the RAM maker for Ryzen.
Have you updated the BIOS to latest release?

Looks like the RAM might be struggling if I had to guess. A reliable Ryzen setup uses RAM from the motherboard's QVL or one that's officially certified by the manufacturer for Ryzen. Have you updated the BIOS to the latest version?
Yes, sir—I just updated it but still haven't seen any improvement. I'm confused because only the OC Genie settings seem to work, and even at 3200 with default settings, it doesn't start up.

The OC usually provides a strong voltage boost while maintaining a lower current output. Have you checked the Genie's current settings?

The OC genie usually provides a strong voltage boost and a modest OC. Have you checked the settings the Genie is using?
Yes, it operates at 3.3MHz @ 1.2V (it reports auto), and for the RAM, I have the same configuration with two friends; they are now running at 3.8MHz @1.275 - 1.3.

To be clear, my system starts up properly. It just doesn’t apply any OC values that I would normally set. By the way, memory usage can really impact this much when adjusting OC? I get it might cause a bottleneck, but if it leads to no post-up, this is super frustrating. Geez. Thanks to everyone who can help. 3.7 would be ideal—I’ve read it’s only a "mild" OC, but I’m okay with that.

Disable auto-voltage, keep RAM untouched, adjust voltage manually to 1.35, attempt a small increase to 3.4Ghz (which is its real turbo setting). This should give you a "gimme" for testing.

One question before I proceed—how long should I wait for it to boot after setting the values? I haven’t had this on my A6 before. Geez.

If it doesn't start up, wait a few minutes—it has OC boot protection, so just reset the clocks and try again. Generally, every chip is a chance, and this one didn't perform well. It's simple to change it, and having a good guide beforehand would help a lot, especially since you're careful enough to ask thoughtful questions.

It has been three minutes since I adjusted your settings. Your PC display is just flickering without any indication of a boot-up. Should I keep waiting, or do you want to try something else?
