So here’s the situation I’m dealing with, which began roughly three weeks ago. My PC came back in March and functioned perfectly until recently. During winter, everything ran smoothly—Crysis 3, COD: Ghosts, Minecraft, AC4, and all other titles worked without any issues. However, as temperatures rose, the PC began getting hotter and hotter. In winter, the highest temperature recorded was 23.0°C, but now in summer it’s reaching up to 35.3°C. The only game I could play was Minecraft. When trying to launch COD: Ghosts about ten minutes in, my PC would restart without any BSOD or error messages—just a shutdown to protect data. After that, I attempted a clean installation, but things got complicated: Windows would only show 12GB RAM instead of the expected 16GB. I tried removing and reinstalling the RAM one by one, replacing faulty slots, but the issue persisted. My specs are: Intel I7 4820K (overclocked to 4.2), 16GB XPG ADATA RAM, 1000W RAID drive, MSI GTX 770 2GB, ASUS X79 Extreme 4, Western Digital HDD, 4 case fans, and a stock CPU fan. Even when idle, the GPU stays around 46°C, while during COD: Ghosts it hit 61°C. In winter there were no problems, so now I’m unsure what’s causing the current issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Your temperatures are normal, so the problem isn't thermal. A faulty RAM slot suggests a hardware fault, possibly a bad motherboard. Even after fixing the reboot issues, consider replacing the RAM if it's still under warranty. For quick checks, flash the BIOS to rule out a software glitch. Review your logs for Windows-related errors around the crash time. Keep track of timestamps and inspect the Event Viewer after reboot for any warnings or crashes. Good luck, and share your results!

I believe it's the motherboard, so I'll update my mono tomorrow. If that fails, I'll return the system to the company for repairs. I'll keep an eye on what happens the next day.
