PC reaches 1fps in the game and on desktop during the new build.
Hello, I recently assembled a new PC and encountered some problems. While playing CS2, my frames would drop to just one (essentially no movement, around one frame every ten seconds). I assumed I should restart the system, which it did. After that, everything ran smoothly again. The following day, while chatting on Discord with a friend and idling on the desktop, the same issue occurred, and my friend could hear me clearly. Restarting helped this time too. The third attempt (today) involved using ctrl+alt+delete, which restored normal FPS when playing CS2 again. Also worth noting is that during the first boot, only the picture appeared after connecting to the iGPU, whereas the regular setup worked fine.
What I tried to troubleshoot:
- Removed integrated GPU graphics (AMD)
- Disabled APU in BIOS
My specifications:
AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D
AORUS ELITE B850 A mobo
tridentZ 32GB cl30 6000mhz
AORUS ELITE P 1000W PSU
(old) MSI RTX 3060ti GamingX
Kingston KC3000 1TB gen4 ssd
Open Task Manager and Performance Monitor, then check the readings during normal operation and when the issue arises.
When the event occurred, the GPU performance chart dropped to 0 or 1%. Could this indicate a problem with the drivers? Following the Windows setup, two versions of AMD Adrenaline were installed.
