my pc suddenly shuts down, and i’m confused about the real cause.
i installed a new motherboard, tried changing the ram slots, reinstalled the os.
the specs are: asus tuf b365m wifi plus gaming (just brought), intel core i5 9400f at 2.9ghz, 16gb ddr4 at 2666 mhz, msi rtx 3060 ti gaming x trio, corsair cv650 psu.
i checked temperatures and everything seems normal for both gpu and cpu.
sometimes the pc works for 3 to 4 hours, but it can’t run smoothly during heavy tasks like gaming editing.
it restarts when idle, so i thought maybe the psu was faulty.
i tried a paperclip test, but the psu fans are spinning.
after that, i removed my ssd and hdd, and the pc would restart in bios too.
it seems the issue isn’t related to the os.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Intel core i5 9400f 2.9ghz
How are you keeping that processor cool?
I brought a new motherboard
+
asus tuf b365m wifi plus gaming (just got it)
What board did you use before this one?
Then I realized it was probably a PSU, so I tried the paperclip test but the PSU fans were spinning.
Paperclip methods aren't reliable; they don't accurately show how much power the PSU can deliver to the whole system.
corsair cv650 psu
How long has your PSU been in use?

I'm using a corsair h55 lq cooler. Temperatures are really fine. Idle temps 35-40°C. Gaming temps 65-75°C. I installed an asus tuf b365 plus gaming full atx. Before last week I got a brand new asus b365 tuf wifi mb. My psu is 2 years and 4 months old.
