Hello, I'm managing a custom build that's been running well since spring 2022. Recently, I encountered an issue while playing Ready or Not 1.0. Last week, after about an hour of gameplay, my monitor suddenly lost signal and the computer emitted an unusual sound (https://youtu.be/9YXGH7BVMxE). I believe this noise is likely from the graphics card fans. I'm fairly certain it's the GPU that's affected, since I could still chat with my friend on Discord while my monitor went dark. After rebooting using the physical power button, everything resumed normally and the game continued without issues. For a few days, I played without problems. Recently, during the mission "Ides of March," the map was large and FPS was low, which made me switch to DirectX 12 for better performance. However, when the monitor went black again, the same strange noise occurred. I restarted the PC with the physical button, then tried playing the mission again using DirectX 11. It worked temporarily for about five minutes before the monitor cut out once more, indicating a signal loss. After another restart, I adjusted the graphics settings to medium and it functioned properly for a short time, but the issue returned when the monitor failed to power on. I attempted to restart the PC to investigate further, but the problem persisted. I suspect the graphics card might be damaged. I use Nvidia ShadowPlay for recording highlights, and temperatures were normal before the crash (GPU ~68°C, CPU ~47°C). I also play League of Legends, Valorant, and CS2 regularly without experiencing similar problems. This incident has happened roughly three times. Anyone have any insights into what might have caused it? How can I identify which components are definitely faulty so I can replace them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your response. It seems the cooling issue might not have been the main cause. After restarting and checking with Corsair's iCUE, temperatures were normal (68°C GPU, 47°C CPU). The monitor also didn't display any signal when testing the display port connection. It appears the problem could involve the mainboard or CPU as well. You may want to try connecting without the graphics card installed to see if it resolves the issue.
