Hello everyone, I’m reaching out for any suggestions or help regarding this problem. I recently installed my new PC at the end of February and everything worked smoothly for the first three months. Around May I experienced a sudden stutter, making my FPS drop to just 2 frames per second. It also affected the audio, causing cuts in the sound. What’s unusual is that these issues are unpredictable—only happening occasionally, sometimes once a day, and often at similar times before or after. The strangest part was that I wasn’t doing anything strenuous; I was playing Warcraft, running a legacy Naxx session, and everything started stuttering. It felt completely random. I haven’t encountered this before in Apex Legends or any other game. Once, when the stutter occurred, I opened MSI Afterburner and saw my CPU and GPU usage spike to 100% for a couple of seconds before normalizing. Drivers and BIOS are up to date, temperatures remain stable (around 60-70°C), and performance is consistent in most games. Current build details: CPU – Ryzen 7 5800X MOBO; GPU – MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Cooler; RAM – Asus TUF 3070; Storage – Corsair Vengeance 3600 (16GB); PSU – RM850 Fully Modular, 850+ Gold. If anyone has insights or solutions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Turn off TPM in the BIOS settings and check if it disappears.

It seems your system might be using a lot of resources during updates. Normally, the CPU and GPU increase to full capacity while gaming, but ideally they stay steady around 100% during play.

That would be asking about available choices.

It seems you're questioning how often things happen in a way that feels unpredictable. The timing can vary significantly, sometimes weeks apart.

Windows updates often appear unpredictable, especially when they decide to download or install. The most challenging issues are the random ones. Do you think it happens regularly—like once a week—or only during certain times? Are you referring to gaming sessions specifically? How long do these delays typically last?

Could it actually be that Windows is handling background downloads and affecting how your system behaves? Thanks for asking—it’s a bit confusing, especially since you’re new to setting up your PC.

I forgot the third and fourth lines. They were brief, around 2 to 4 seconds long, often seen during quick moments on YouTube or while gaming.

Don’t worry about MSI. Go to advanced settings and then check the Trusted Platform Module or something like that. It could be handled there first before finding the TPM.

This problem appears with the new Ryzen processors. It should resolve itself if your BIOS supports AGESA 1.2.0.7 or later and you upgrade the chipset from AMD's site (MSI doesn't offer the newest). Disabling TPM in the BIOS used to work, but it's no longer necessary now.
