Hey there, when I first turn on my PC, sometimes the post appears blank and the CPU status light turns red. After flipping the power supply off and back on, everything works fine. Could anyone explain what might be causing this issue? It seems like the motherboard is MSI B550 Tomahawk, the CPU is Ryzen 9 5900X, RAM is 32 GB, the GPU is 3080 from Gigabyte, and the PSU is 850 watts (though I’m not sure of the exact model). There’s also an extension socket, and I’ve turned both off at night.
Power strip / extension cord? Spoiler Anyhow there really is no need to switch off your PSU every night, in fact it could actually be bad for your PSU. Here is a thread for you to read: Keep the PSU plugged in / switched on, see if that fixes the issue for you. Obviously if you are planning on traveling / being away from home for several day then do unplug it... just not every night heh.
