PC Not Booting Up
PC Not Booting Up
Recently, I acquired a dual-channel 16GB kit to swap in for my old single-channel setup. After installing it, the system wouldn’t finish booting and kept showing the ROG login screen. Once I reinstalled the original stick, everything functioned properly. About two weeks later, the same problem resurfaced. I disconnected the power supply, removed the CMOS battery, and reinserted the GPU. Eventually, I purchased another kit and the issue persisted. I’ve looked into the BIOS, which now recognizes the new RAM. It appears to load endlessly on the ROG screen but crashes to a black screen with an hourglass that turns into a standard mouse cursor after a few restarts. If anyone has advice, it would be appreciated.
System specs: Windows 11 64bit, i7-9700K, 16GB RAM, 3200MHz, 850W, Platinum.
