I increased my PC's speed and it won't boot or open BIOS. What should I do? Please advise.

1. turn off the power from the wall. *IMPORTANT*
2. open the case
3. find the on-board CMOS battery on the motherboard, it looks like a watch battery
4. carefully remove it.
5. wait 3-4 minutes
6 reinsert the battery onto the motherboard
7 close the case
8 connect the power cable and start up.
