Following attempts to modify RAM timings in BIOS, the monitor shows no input yet the system starts up. I have a Ryzen 7 1700 on an ASUS X370 PRO board, please assist!

I would clear the CMOS and start over again... because you can't post, so you'll need to Reseat the CMOS Battery.

The Paladin suggests clearing the CMOS and resetting the system. In your situation, because you can't post, you should replace the CMOS battery. Ref: https://www.howtogeek.com/131623/how-to-...-settings/

disconnect the battery for 3-4 minutes while the computer isn't plugged in (turn off the power source), then reattach it and restore power.

The Paladin:
run the battery for 3-4 minutes while the computer isn’t plugged in (disconnect PSu from wall outlet)
then reinsert it and restore power
also tried this before. Now I’m confused if I connected the two correct pins, since my manual mentions two pairs of headers. Plus, I’m ordering a MOBO speaker and was surprised ASUS didn’t include one.

have you checked if your graphics card is correctly installed? (remove it, reinsert it, and verify that all connections are properly secured.)

Have you checked if your video card is installed correctly? That means removing it and reinserting it, as well as ensuring any necessary power connectors are properly inserted and secured. I've done this too.
