Specs: 7900x 7900 XTX 6600Mhz 32Gb RAM on 670e-I Wi-Fi ASUS Board. BIOS not updated. Cooler Master V850 SFX GOLD failed to load after changing settings. Tried saving and exiting BIOS but encountered freezing. Had to reset CMOS to restart. Installed Windows 11 without issues, some drivers and monitoring tools worked fine. PC would randomly freeze and restart repeatedly, even when using browsers. Switched cables to Dport and HDMI, tried different monitors. Experimented with 60Hz vs 144Hz and HDR settings. Reattached GPU, reinstalled Windows 11 64-bit multiple times on another drive. Used W10 64-bit on alternate drives. Checked Event Viewer logs but found no clues. Ran memory diagnostic tools which crashed. MemTest86 also stopped mid-test. Feels like a critical component is faulty. PC won’t shut down normally and requires physical power-off. No spare PSU available. Need guidance and advice! Thank you!

Open BIOS, review your memory configurations. Occasionally the automatic options aren’t compatible with your specific RAM type. To diagnose, lower the RAM speed significantly below its rated value and test. You might also try raising the voltage slightly. If an XMP profile exists, switch it off and use standard settings. Experimenting with a single memory stick can also provide insight.

I attempted this and faced the same problem right from the start with the BIOS. The PC displays a black screen and it can't reach the BIOS settings. Clearing the CMOS didn't help.

Remove the power plug and detach the CMOS battery for five minutes.

I’m really confused about where the CMOS battery is located. I tried using a screwdriver to reset it via the pins, but that didn’t help.

This board lacks the standard removable CMOS battery. Ensure the PSU is off or unplugged before using the clear CMO jumper. If power is on, clearing won’t work properly. Try removing all RAM sticks and booting without any installed. You should hear error beeps. Once you install one stick, check the behavior.
