Hello, I'm working on assembling a new PC for a friend and need help choosing a motherboard. The CPU options are Ryzen 3 3100 or 3300x, and I want to push it overclocking the stock cooler's limits. After evaluating two boards based on price and tier, I'm curious—does the selection really matter, or should I explore pricier alternatives? Thanks for your time!

Whenever you push a CPU beyond its limits, a higher-end board is always the optimal pick, no matter how much power it consumes. You don’t have to splurge on expensive models like the X570 Aorus Master; instead, find the best fit within your budget.

I favor the S2H; Gigabyte BIOS performs better than Asrock's. But if you like boosting memory speeds, both fall short—Asrock for limited DIMM voltage, Gigabyte for inconsistent memory overclocking.

S2H's ranking isn't precisely defined; it features a fined heatsink (though smaller than Pro4's), which is an upgrade over other comparable VRM layouts from Gigabyte. It's uncertain if this will secure Tier D, so I'm marking it in blue for now.
