All B550 and X570 models will work with the upcoming Ryzen 4000 desktop line. However, you must update the BIOS on current boards before proceeding. Boards released after the Ryzen 4000 launch should be compatible without changes, but only after updating the BIOS to the supported version. B450/X470 updates are manufacturer-dependent, while certain boards such as the "Max" series have already been verified by MSI to support Ryzen 4000.
