Hello, I've set up a new computer for professional tasks in Archicad, Autocad, Twinmotion, Adobe CC... plus some gaming. The issue is frequent crashes—sometimes BSOD, other times the application freezes. Specific details:

- Motherboard: ASROCK Z790 PG-ITX / TB 4 CPU
- Processor: Intel i9 14900k
- RAM: G.SKILL 96GB DDR5 6GHz CL32 Trident Z5 RGB Black
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING X SLIM 24G, 24GB GDDR6X
- Power supply: ASUS ROG LOKI SFX-L 1000W
- Case: Noctua
- Build notes: Well-organized, photos available

Performance is stable during heavy work or Adobe use. Synthetic tests show no issues overnight. Temperatures are normal except during Twinmotion or Archicad, which then crash. Only after a restart does it recover briefly before repeating the problem. No error codes appear in Archicad.

Tried various fixes: different machines, BIOS updates, BIOS reset, removed XMP, adjusted CPU voltage, changed power limits, reinstalled drivers. Still facing instability. Some programs quit or trigger BSOD when using Twinmotion or Archicad. When I restart, it works for a while until the next crash.

I’m under warranty, so I can replace parts but prefer not to ship expensive components long-distance. I’d appreciate clear troubleshooting steps and any logs you can share. Thanks for your support—I’m ready to help!

You're likely facing the worst possible outcome with the 14th gen i9 crashfest, where the hardware instability is so severe it forces manufacturers to build boards with extreme power configurations. Right now, you might search for a newer UEFI version that incorporates Intel's baseline power profile, or you could try lowering the i9's clock speed—some recommend dropping it below 5 GHz—to see if stability improves. Alternatively, some users have reported being in the 20% of cases where faulty chips require an RMA.

I’m planning to perform a clean installation of the operating system, though this might not be effective since I’ve already tested safe mode and various drives. I’ll purchase a different Intel CPU, specifically an i5 14500. I can return it within 14 days if it proves useful. If it helps, I’ll proceed with an RMA. Thanks!

Secure the central frequency at 5.5GHz. The Intel 14th generation issue stems from the poor boosting algorithm forcing the CPU to operate excessively.

Regardless of the situation, I’d get that 14900k with a maximum of 105W TDP, and the RTX 4090 would run around 90% TDP as well. It’s pretty unreal to have these parts in SFX when they can handle more than 600W at default settings.

This setup seems unusual but could work if the cooling is sufficient. With a 280mm AIO and extra fans delivering cold air, your CPU stays stable under load. After adjusting power limits and improving airflow with fresh outside air and additional fans, temperatures drop to around 65°C during games. You're considering setting the multiplier to 5.5 GHz or lower—let me know what you think.

It relates to power output and sound levels from nearby parts. Even if the key parts with cooling work fine, the rest of the setup might still be affected.

I understand, my readings look normal, but I can't confirm your concerns since there might be an issue on my end.

Intel Base Power Profile adjustments made—P core speed capped at 5 GHz, E core at 4 GHz. Performance remains stable for up to an hour before crashes occur. Need help troubleshooting further?
