Hello guys,
I'm having some problems with my PC and wanted to share the situation.
Initially, everything worked perfectly, but after a two-week vacation I returned and opened CS2. My computer started lagging intermittently.
It seems this issue mostly occurs when I move my mouse across certain areas? I’m not sure.
Here are my specs:
- 3060 RTX OC 12gb
- i5 13600k
- 32 GB RAM at 5600Mhz
- SSD drive
Could there be a hardware problem or is it related to my internet connection?
Are there any ways to check if my components are damaged without looking them over?
And can I test my internet speed beyond just running a speed test?
So far I’ve done:
- Reinstalled Windows
- Swapped the CPU paste and cleaned the PC thoroughly
Thank you!

Verify if these steps work offline too.
Restart the internet router.
Update its firmware.
Make sure all drivers are current on your system.
Check GPU, ethernet, chipset, Intel driver, BIOS, and RAM settings match advertised speeds.
Run memory tests.
Use manufacturer tools to test the SSD and update firmware if needed.
Update BIOS.

Begin by executing test applications such as OCCT to ensure stability. Then run benchmark programs like CineBench (for CPU performance) and Heaven Benchmark, Furmark (for GPU performance), or comprehensive system tests such as Passmark Performance or Geek Bench to compare with similar systems. It is useful to perform these checks when setting up a new PC or running them to record results for future comparison. Additionally, verify the BIOS settings to confirm they haven’t been reset to default and that no enhancements were lost due to power interruptions.

Thank you for your feedback. I performed a hard reset on the router and applied the latest firmware update. I also changed the BIOS to the current version, recalling that I updated it in 2024 even though I remember the 2022 version being installed. Let's proceed now—I'll bring an update later. Thank you very much!

Update : played a game of Cs2 and is still happening
🙁
Is there any way to test my internet in a way to show me more data , to be 100% sure the internet is not an issue?

I've experienced something comparable, so I won't create a new thread or ask for advice here. In my case, it doesn't occur while playing games but happens when I switch tabs, particularly if I go to Discord. A brief hiccup now and then when switching tabs from a game to another screen is typical, but if I switch to Discord it can last several seconds. Everything else seems fine. Could it be related to the latest Discord update?

Now I'm absolutely certain this isn't the internet, since even my mouse on the desktop is slow and lagging.
EDIT 1: I'm experiencing extreme lag even on the desktop, making it impossible to click anything smoothly. The performance tab shows everything as stable, nothing seems to be going haywire...
I've run benchmarks and everything looks fine; I used this OCCT for all my components and didn't find any issues.
What could possibly be causing this at this stage?

I think I discovered the problem, as mentioned before. I could barely click on things because of the lag, but I realized I could navigate perfectly on my PC using just the keyboard even though the mouse was slow. So it must have been the mouse... Its USB was near the PC antenna wireless, so I wasn't sure if it was affecting the frequency or damaging the mouse. Or maybe it's going to fail soon. But the USB issue seems to be mine—it was a wireless mouse. I changed it to another USB that's farther from the antenna, and it works now fine xDDD. It was really strange, I wouldn't have thought it could be the mouse at all—it just kept lagging without stopping.
