So I placed an order for kryonaut thermal paste. It should take 7 to 9 days, especially since I'm in Philadelphia after all 7641 islands. Poor bastard has to swim. 😛
.. jokingly... so I'm going to reverse the direction of the CPU heatsink and fan and point it at the back? Yeah, I played ARK last night... it's a pretty intense game.

played Fallout 4 in Winowed mode... and kept an eye on the GPU temperature. It rose to 86 but didn’t go any higher. No reboot has occurred so far.

I know this discussion was closed, but would you mind checking if flipping the CPU fan direction could help? That might make you less of a bother.

NO.
Maintain the CPU fan at its current setting.
It aids in cooling the VRM modules, especially those without heatsinks. The CPU fan serves as the sole cooling method.
The top gray fan would perform better if directed into the case.
As it stands, it competes with the CPU fan for airflow.

Above all else, what is the age of your UPS? Rechargeable batteries typically need swapping every four to five years. For areas with frequent power problems or brownouts, consider reducing this interval to every three years.

okay thank you.. heatsink fan blowing to wards the front of the case that has no vents at all
the thermal paste which i THOUGHT is kryonaut will arrive feb 21-22.. but it is atually MX4...
cannot understand why i cant even play fallout 4 or eve online.... the temp thing has never been an issue before in other a8-7680... maybe the ptm7950 had 2 stickers.. i only remember removing 1 sticker...after applying the cooling pad i did remove the heatsink to look at it and it did look like squished thermal paste.. no trade of adhesive whatsoever... i just heard about ptm7960 on youtube and my gaming laptop that is on a boat on its way here.. wanted to use it on the nvidia 3060 gpu chip.. and i think the cpu is a intel i7 4th gen.. gets toasty too.. but when i got this and the heat sink that came with mobo would crash the cpu on eve online or fallout 4.... i switched to the standing heatsink and fan... and it makes a tiny difference in relation to temperatures... currently using CPU-X in manjaro linux.. temp is 60.??C.. and im not doing any gaming..... i know im currently in a tropical country .. but... it cannot roast a cpu this badly...... should i switch to liquid cooling ?
PS back to win10.... linux is getting too complimacated to use

I need to apologize to everyone. I took out the heatsink to put on thermal paste and noticed a small piece of plastic. I think there were two strips of protective tape on the pad. I applied the MX4 thermal paste and was playing Eve Online. The GPU temperature is currently at 50°C, even though I'm not in the game. Again... sorry, we all have our "blonde" moments.

Yep... though in Canada we refer to those "newfie" moments after the former province of Newfoundland... meaning the land remains but now bears the name Newfoundland and Labrador. It's just a small part of Canadian geography that no one seems to care about... similar to the Gulf of America, which is still the Gulf of Mexico.
