PC keeps freezing yet fans and RGB lights stay active.
I've faced this problem for months, and it has only gotten worse. Initially, it would only fail during gameplay, then it would stop about 3 to 5 minutes after powering on. Even when it crashed, the lights and fans kept running as if everything was fine, and I would hear audio loops during playback. After a restart, sometimes I encountered a blue screen that asked me to reset Windows, but none of the other fixes worked. Once I rebooted, it functioned properly for hours. Despite stress testing the GPU and CPU with Furmark and Prime95, everything performed well. The RAM appeared normal after using the Windows memory diagnostic tool. The event viewer reported a critical shutdown event, even when checking in BIOS, it would crash after a few minutes. This happened roughly a year and a half after setting up the PC, and I haven't changed any BIOS settings. Could this be a hardware problem related to my PSU or motherboard? I can't afford to test parts separately, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already, I suggest refreshing your bios, particularly for AMD models. Updates often resolve various stability and crashing problems. After updating, perform a crash test. If the issue persists, it's likely a hardware problem. A display cutout with audio and functioning fans/lights usually points to a GPU fault. The PSU could also be the cause—check both components. If crashes are consistent or frequent, swap GPUs and test with a new PSU. Based on experience, one of these parts is often the source. You may need to buy replacement parts from a store with returns or borrow them from someone who has working components. If you can't test the parts yourself, bring the computer to a repair shop for professional troubleshooting.
