I assembled a new PC and powered it on for the first time. After about 10 seconds, the red CPU LED on the motherboard lit up and then the system shut down automatically. Fans and RGBs were active during that time. After that, every time I tried to turn it on again, the same red light appeared briefly, followed by an immediate shutdown. As a beginner builder, I’ve tried using only integrated graphics and one RAM stick. I disconnected everything except the ATX 24-pin, CPU power, CPU fan, AIO pump, and JFP1. I checked that the PSU (Corsair RM1000e) fan would turn on by jumping the 12-pin connector.

Hi, The power source shuts down to safeguard you and itself, probably because of a short circuit or a failed component on the motherboard. Take out every card, cable, and memory, then check for metal particles on the board and in the slots. If it comes back on, gradually reinsert items until it stops again.

I understand what you're saying. All components except the ATX 24-pin were taken off, but the motherboard still powers down right away. It seems like the RMA process might be necessary at this point.
