I just assembled this new PC:
5700x
Radeon 6600 (Gigabyte)
TeamForce 8x2(16gb) RAM
Thermaltake 700w PSU
512 M.2 + 1TB HDD
After organizing the cables, I realized the PC wouldn’t start. It would run for about 30 seconds before stopping completely, showing no output or other problems, then it would keep looping endlessly.
I tried several things:
- Reconnected all cables thoroughly
- Reinstalled the CPU and checked for pin damage
- Replaced the CPU cooler
- Reseated the GPU
- Reseated the RAM
- Ensured PSU cables were untangled and clear of obstacles
After trying everything for at least two hours, I managed to boot Windows by moving the PC to a different outlet, removing a stick of RAM, and using a screwdriver to reset the CMOS on the motherboard. Once the system started, I let it sit, powered off everything, reinserted the other RAM module, reinstalled the side panels, and returned the desktop to its normal position. Unfortunately, it brought me back to the same situation. I’m not sure if the RAM is the problem since it’s been functioning well for a few days without any changes, but it’s possible.
This was the first time I experienced something like this, so I’m seeking advice from others.

You are a new member of the forums. The product in question is the Thermaltake 700w PSU. Could you clarify the model number and its age?

If no assistance is available, return to the outlet that functioned...test.
