PC is implementing an artificial full-screen experience.
Recently, my screen resolution has been malfunctioning inexplicably. I’m attempting to utilize “true” fullscreen mode, which reduces input lag and improves frame rates while also returning me directly to the desktop. Previously, I resolved this by checking the "disable fullscreen optimizations" option within the executable files (.exe), but these adjustments no longer have any effect on the game. Furthermore, when I press the Windows key while in fullscreen, the taskbar overlaps my game window instead of launching to the desktop. Additionally, if the taskbar remains visible or any overlays (like volume controls) are active over the game, my frame rate is capped at my monitor’s refresh rate.
I have completely disabled all GameBar settings previously. I've also repeatedly performed clean installations of my GPU drivers. Any assistance in restoring true fullscreen functionality would be greatly appreciated!
