Hi guys so i'm getting a new motherboard, pu, pu cooler and ram soon. That means my old parts a new ssd hdd and fans can make a system in my old pc case. Everything worked it booted fine. Now it doesn't i turned it off at some point and back on and it slowly does to vga led and restarts like it goes dram 1-3 seconds then cpu 1-2 second and then vga 1 second and restarts. My cpu is a 3700x my motherboard is a rog b550-f gaming and i have a 2060 super fe in and have tried ram modules amount configs and my 3080 strix white o 10g i know works and my r×580 and no cpu in at all nothing but no ram does give a dram error so i know the board can tell what led is for what. I was hopping to sell this to my boy in a few months can someone help me i've tried bios flash back but maybe i did the part of actually flashing the board wrong it just showed a green light solid at one point not changing never tried before cause i've never needed to try it
the fans i’m using in the pc build are asiahorse argb. i couldn’t find them in armory crate after uninstalling, but the installer didn’t work either. another issue is that the system isn’t booting properly, even though the remote is functional.
The GPU might be defective. Begin by re-seating it (removing and reinserting) if that doesn’t resolve the issue, then consider booting with another GPU.
I might not have mentioned this, but I've tested various graphics cards and the 2060 Super FE Reseated has worked. I've also used my 3080 Strix White OC 10GB and the $60 RX580. My rm650x was installed as intended, and my rm1000x paired with the SSD inside the PC when it failed to start. The new HDD and SSD didn't power on, but the DRAM does when no RAM slot is connected.
Thanks for your help. I removed the CMOS battery and restarted the PC. It’s working now, I’ll test without it to confirm.
