Hello, I replaced my Ryzen 7 2700X with a stock Wraith Prism cooler but it didn’t solve the issue. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5600X and added a Cooler Master Liquid 120 cooler. The temperatures are still around 85°C during gaming, but they drop to about 60°C under load. At stress tests, it caps at 95°C and throttles. Is this normal for my motherboard model Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.x)? Thanks in advance.
It seems you could benefit from increased ventilation in your enclosure.
How quickly do the cooling fans rotate? Have you used thermal paste? Was there a label stuck under the cooler? Edited February 27, 2024 by leclod
At idle it's roughly 1%, but Chrome opens to about 5% and temperatures rise.
Sure, I can help with that. It’s important to secure everything properly so it stays flat. Make sure you tighten the screws carefully in a diagonal direction, one step at a time.
I don't agree much. Probably only due to a faulty bios configuration. Still, it doesn't seem likely.
