Hello, I'm trying to understand what's going on with my PC. I built it and it performed well for a year before I received two more identical RAM sticks. After installing them, issues started right away, leading me to believe the new RAM was faulty. I took them to Best Buy for replacement. Since then, I've experienced occasional crashes—like Spotify pausing, the mouse cursor freezing, or the keyboard and screen stopping without any error messages. It's not RAM-related since it works most of the time; instead, it seems to happen randomly, sometimes after a reboot. I don't have any specific software open during these moments, but usually Photoshop, Chrome, and sometimes 5 seconds after restarting cause problems. My system runs a Ryzen 5 3600x with a Corsair 850x gold PSU (switched from a 650 after issues). On my second PC, I have an Asus B450 with both Wi-Fi and wifi modules on the second PCIe slot, 5 case fans, RGB and stock coolers, and a Corsair Vengeance 3600hz airflow case. I'm using a Western Digital Black 512GB SSD M.2. Any suggestions would be appreciated—I'm really disappointed with this development.

Bad RAM could have harmed your operating system or drivers, making it hard to detect which files were affected. The quickest fix is to boot the system from a new disk with a fresh OS. If everything works, transfer your data to the new system. If issues persist, the problem likely lies in hardware.

I've attempted that earlier, but I had the old RAM still inside, so I'll try again!

Great update, I just got a fresh Windows install. Unfortunately, it keeps freezing. I also swapped out the motherboard because I think something might have been damaged and I found a good deal on a CPU motherboard and RAM bundle. Still freezing, though. Could it be the SSD? I put it in without a standoff, so it’s a bit bent. All other components—PSU, GPU, and SSD—are brand new. The PSU is pretty new too and works much better than my old one.

Let's create a new topic based on this approach.
Maybe others can assist with your idea!
