I recently acquired a Coolermaster Q300L and attempted to install all my parts. Before buying, I verified with pcpartpicker that everything would fit and work. After placing the motherboard, PSU, SSD, GPU, and connecting everything, I secured the side panels. Now it’s not powering up. I’ve double-checked connections and even swapped the motherboard in the case multiple times—at least five times. I’m worried something might be wrong, possibly breaking the motherboard. Could there be a mistake in my setup? I’ve struggled with 24-pin connections initially but eventually got it working. The CPU, RAM, GPU, and cooler all seem fine. I’m afraid I might be without my PC for at least ten months until I can afford a replacement. No visible damage was seen by a friend, but I’m really concerned.

You're asking about several possible issues with your motherboard. It seems you're checking if it appears damaged, if the power indicator lights up when connected, whether the power button functions, and if you've performed any troubleshooting steps like testing cables or trying different RAM configurations. You're also looking for confirmation on whether the PSU power button works and if you've verified all connections according to the manual.

I checked all the cables, but I don’t have a paperclip for the paperclip test. I used a screwdriver—power button didn’t work. No GPU connected, and I haven’t touched the RAM. It looks like things are really tough.

4 items came ready to go, but I had to add 2 more myself, which was tricky because I don’t have a tiny screwdriver.

Probably just a bit of stress during installation, no major mistakes. The screws seemed a little loose and could have slipped or been hit by tools, possibly causing some damage. The 24-pin connector was handled a bit too roughly—no breaks, but it might have been affected. The slight flexing of the motherboard when you applied force wasn’t unusual.
