I was actually talking about a different RAM configuration... modern computers often face compatibility problems with RAM. Changing it can sometimes resolve the issue, especially if you identify the best fit for your specific motherboard and CPU setup. This doesn’t seem to be a clear RAM problem, but it could affect a Windows installation. Right now, it appears more likely a hard drive or a game/driver issue is involved... it’s tough to say for sure. For starters, checking error codes in the Event Viewer would help. Also, OBS is still active? I noticed something about the Nvidia GPU... given the current state of Nvidia drivers, it makes sense. I’d consider using the Nvidia recording app or DDU to install driver 566.36.

Nvidia drivers have been problematic recently. Obs stopped working, but I managed to reproduce the problem in just two minutes. I'm seeking a second opinion and have a technician reviewing it.

The problem actually became more severe, and I can't even start a game without my computer freezing completely.

It's likely too late now, yet Windows updates for Win 11 are known to create issues. If functionality shifts from one day to the next, updates are often the first thing I investigate.

Windows updates seem fine, but nothing matches when the issues began. I lack funds or spare components to explore various troubleshooting options. I’m really unsure what to do next; all my attempts have failed. I’m beginning to doubt if I’ll ever resolve the problem.

It might be a faulty RAM module. Check each stick individually.

Right now I’m uncertain if the problem is hardware-related or software-based. At the repair shop I noticed everything functioned properly. Once I got home it would freeze again. Might something connected to me—like a device I’m using—be causing this issue? I have a KVM, microphone, streaming deck, capture card, and an Astro mixer all plugged in.
