PC GAMING
I just purchased an MSI 27-inch 165Hz 2K monitor. Before that, I owned an AOC 24-inch 144Hz 2K display. I mainly enjoy FPS gaming, especially CS R6 Rust and COD. I’m curious if the new monitor is too large for 1080p gaming, since I sometimes notice pixels between the text and it bothers me. I’d prefer using 2K resolution instead of 1080p, which I was using with my previous monitor too. Here are my details:

I’m wondering if I could run the games mentioned above at 2K with a reasonable frame rate, so I can take advantage of the monitor’s high refresh rate. I’m okay adjusting settings but don’t seem to get many FPS in all the games I play. Also, what would be a suggestion for upgrading my PC to handle 2K gaming more easily?
You should be able to play the games confidently, but you may want to experiment with in-game settings after adjusting the resolution. Regarding your FPS worries, could you share the PSU model and its age? The information you provided indicates your motherboard is running BIOS version F51, with two more pending updates: F52 and F60. Consider updating to the newest release and see if performance improves. What operating system are you using? Preferably version 21H1 is ideal. If needed, you can try uninstalling the GPU drivers via DDU and reinstalling them from Nvidia's support site using an administrator elevation, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Thank you for your reply. The PSU I'm using is nearly five months old and it's a Corsair CX 750M bronze. For the drivers and the operating system, I've forgotten about them because I've been really busy with studies over the past eight months. I plan to update them and also check the GPU drivers soon.
