Since Halo Wars was released on Xbox 360, I’ve enjoyed playing it. Now I own a PC and no longer use Xbox Live, so I don’t play Halo Wars anymore. I still want to try RTS games like Halo Wars on my computer, but most recommendations point to Starcraft 2. Since the game is very fast-paced and players are highly skilled, it doesn’t stand out much compared to Halo Wars. Could you suggest other titles that could replace it? Your advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I also became quite attached to Halo Wars after playing it on 360. I think you should try Civilization—it's a bit slower and offers a different approach to real-time strategy, yet it feels close enough for me to enjoy. I don't have many other RTS titles to compare it with, so I'm not entirely sure about the differences.
Halo Wars stands out as my top RTS title ever, nothing rivals its quality. I wish more developers had made it for PC and could have spent countless hours enjoying it. Planetary Anhilation comes closest to my expectations.
