They typically start it, the console makers and developers lead, then gamers catch up, and we end up with limited access options: PC gaming elitism is really just a reactionary stance.
The initial responses show a quick reaction. I favor my Xbox One. While it may not look as impressive as the high-end console, it offers games I enjoy and a user-friendly experience.

The Wii U is the sole console from this generation I currently own. It's the only one offering 'console' titles and emphasizes quality gaming over trying to match PC graphics with poor results. Love smash. It runs at 1080p 60fps just like most TVs. Love splatoon. Not 1080p but still 60fps. Love mario kart 8. Also 60 fps. Seems they prioritize gameplay and experience before perfecting visuals. How does a tri-core power PC-based console manage to run and look better than the PS4 and Xbox One?
Consoles are enjoyable when you mostly rent your games. That’s why I own a PS4. The games I purchase I usually get on PC.
