PC functions properly with a single game, but after switching to another, it experiences frequent frame drops.
To clarify the situation, I noticed a problem where after playing a game like VALORANT, I usually run at about 240fps as expected. However, when I switch to another game such as Rainbow 6 Siege, I often hit around 200fps or less, with frequent frame drops at lower rates. When I enable VSync, the performance drops even further, sometimes only reaching 90fps or less, which feels closer to 30fps. This issue occurs across simpler games too, and it's happened recently with R6:S as well. After restarting my PC, the game seems to function normally, so I tend to restart after each session just to capture full frames.
I’ve checked my system specs in Task Manager and AMD software, and everything looks normal. I’ve also been using the alt + F4 key to quit games quickly, but I’m not sure if that’s contributing to the problem. My storage is nearly full due to a large number of downloaded games from the Xbox App with GamePass enabled. This high usage could potentially affect performance.
During some recent tests, when I opened a new game and Task Manager showed my GPU at 70-98% usage while the game used 70-80%, and the system used about 20%, it’s puzzling. Could this indicate something going wrong with my hardware or settings?
